It's almost time for the winter fun and games to begin. Yukon Quest starts in Fairbanks on
Feb 9. And it's only 44 days to the Iditirod, March 1. Stan needs to haul snow to Anchorage
for the ceremonial start, they claim a lack of it. Share from your bounty Prattler.

They can have all the snow that I have, all they need to do is send down a front end loader and a caravan of trucks. The other option is to start the race in Anchor Point, little known fact is that the serum run which followed the Iditirod Trail orignated in Seward. We will clear the highway for them and block traffic if they want to move it out of LA and move it to Anchor Point. George Attla, Dr. Lombard, Gareth Wright and a host of older real mushers raced in Anchor Point and Homer for a number of years.

Good to see that you are blogging again. Tell Cindy we said hello and look forward to sitting around the fire pit with her. Assure her that I promise that no bear, wolf, moose or buffalo will attack her bnut I cannot speak for a coyote.

The last 8 inches that LA got, same storm dropped only 4" at Big Lake. The iditarod committee claims that global warming has led to the decision of starting elsewhere - as many times in the past. just official this time.
