Yukon Quest-yest it kicked off without much media attention at all on Saturday Feb 10.
Kickoff was in Whitehorse. They are off for Fairbanks. I just checked, leaders are out
of Stevens Point I believe.

Keep us Alaskan's posted on how this race goes, I did hear that the top three aree just a few minutes a part. The Yukon quest does not get the media attention that the Iditirod does. It has always been a secondary race, howevr, it is stilkl a tough race. Perhaps if they did not go through Canada it would draw more attention. do the dogs also need a passport to enter Canada?

Visa and passport concerns are valid. This may
be a back door way for illegals to enter our
country-via dog sled.
