Election Results 2008 Presidential by county
If we elected our Presidents by square miles/votes-McCain would be the
President-elect. He and Sarah won the hearts of America's rural
people. The larger urban areas went for the Socialist-Obama .
Lots of Mexican votes along the Rio Grande went Obama's way, the Left coast
also no suprise. Washington state may as well allow the East side of their state to secede
and form the 51st state since they overwhelming prefer Republican ideals.
Western Colorado preferred McCain with exceptions in the ski counties of
Telluride and Aspen. Denver, Pueblo and the San Luis counties overwhelmed state voters
to turn the state Red. Dallas and Houston and some Gulf counties showed blue
in an otherwise red Texas.
Republicans need to figure out what makes those urban areas tick and
go after them as aggressively as Obama tackled Bush strongholds.
From a very red, Montrose county, Ranger Bill

Wow, a new posting! Good info, I had not seen the states broke down like that. It is going to be interesting after January when all the promises start falling away and reality sets in. Of course, even then President Bush will get the blame. President Eisenhower stopped the practice of making all communist members carry a registration card. Perhaps, it is time that we re-enact a U.S. Citizen Identification card. Without it, you do not get the benefits of a U.S. Citizen and you need to have one in order to vote. We now need passports to travel into Canada and Mexico and no one complained of encroachment of privacy rights when they had to order a pass port. An official Citizenship Card would be required before you could get a drivers license, vote, purchase a gun, or go to work. If I am ever elected, that will be the first bill that I introduce!:) Come to think of it, perhaps we should do that in Alaska, a state citizen I.D. card, must live in the state one year, bonafide street address. With the card, you get priorities on all jobs, you do not pay stare income tax. Non residents would be required to pay state tax on income at a rate of 20%. Wonder how many jobs would open up on the slope? When I am elected, that will be my second bill I introduce!:)
